FAQs

  • Why YellowLizard Strength?

Any personal trainer or coach can give you workouts and accountability. I am dedicated to bringing out the very best in every single one of my clients. We will employ evidence-based methods, intelligent program design, and a movement-positive approach to training that will be empowering and exciting. We will provide you with the tools you need to understand crucial training concepts, and ensure you have the capability to apply them on your own for long-term success. For more info, visit my “What to Expect” page, under the “About” tab.

  • Why are your clients so successful?

Success should be a guarantee when you are investing in a coaching program. Success is also predicated on having your bases covered. Together, we will formulate a custom training program designed to efficiently and effectively help you tackle your goals. We will work together to further your understanding of movement, fundamental training concepts, recovery, and nutrition. You will also have access to my direct referral network of healthcare providers, including general practitioners, physical therapists, and licensed massage therapists. As you succeed in your physical endeavors, we will continually evaluate your ability to be successful in the long-term by reviewing the tools you have acquired with me in the gym.

  • Who is strength training for?

Well, everyone. You betcha, that includes you. I am happy to train people of all ages, sexes, experience levels, backgrounds, etc. Everyone can benefit from weight-training. From the competitive powerlifter, to the brand new gym-goer who’s never touched a weight.

  • How do I schedule with you?

All of my scheduling is done via my online system, on the “Schedule” page. Your first option is the in-person subscription packages - this option will allow you to choose training frequency (1x/2x/3x weekly), book your sessions, and will renew monthly. You must book + use your sessions on this monthly basis; they will not rollover. You may cancel or renew at any time. The subscription service is ideal for those who want to guarantee their time slot and attendance, automate payment, and commit to consistency. The second option is to book sessions on an individual basis. This option is ideal for those who want a custom number of sessions per week, would like to pay per session rather than monthly, or whose schedule changes regularly. Keep in mind, my availability may vary when booking single sessions. Those on the subscription packages will be scheduled first.

  • What is your pricing?

I charge $60/60 minute session. I am always happy to extend my time when needed. I charge for sessions at a pro-rated cost if they extend past 75 minutes. I am happy to offer training at a discounted cost for young adults (under 18). I believe strength training should be accessible to everyone; contact me with payment questions at any time.

  • Is there a cancellation fee?

No, I do not currently charge a cancellation fee. However, if your session is cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment, it will count as a completed session towards your monthly package. It’s better to show up than not!

  • I think I am injured or don’t feel well - should I still train?

I strive to be adaptable for my clients, and will scale all sessions relative to your capabilities, no matter the situation. This means we can scale down the difficulty of our movements, intensity of training, etc, to make your time in the gym productive and safe. Life happens, and you should feel confident knowing your coach can assist you in training through it. However, there are times where you shouldn’t train through it. If you are seriously injured or sick - please let me know ASAP and we will get you rescheduled.

  • Where will we train?

I currently train my clients at All Athletes Welcome Gym in Prescott, Arizona. Directions can be found via mine or the gym’s Google profile.

  • Do you do online training?

Yes! I am happy to offer remote training for both new and current clients. I highly recommend clients who have trained with me in-person to continue with custom online programming. Hybrid options are also available.

  • What is your experience/education?

I have coached + competed since 2018, and have weight-trained since 2015. I have attained my NASM-CPT and USPA-CPCP, as well as completed several intensive educational programs related to strength and performance. I continually invest in my own education to stay current with evidence-based methods and to provide the best experience possible for my clients. For a non-exhaustive list of my experience and those with whom I’ve had the pleasure to learn from, visit my “About Me” page.
